Daily Maintenance:
- Clean the floor daily using a wipe, mop, hair brush, or vacuum cleaner suitable for hard floors to remove loose dust and dirt. Vacuuming is usually sufficient for daily cleaning.
- Note: Please wipe with a damp cloth to avoid excessive moisture.
Weekly Deep Cleaning:
- Once a week, perform a deep cleaning using a damp mop or cloth mixed with warm water and neutral detergent. This helps effectively remove dirt and maintain the floor's condition. Use a damp mop or cloth, avoiding excessive water. Light-colored floors may require more frequent cleaning to keep them bright.
Stain Cleaning:
- Clean any stains immediately. Use a nylon cloth mixed with neutral detergent, starting from the edge of the stain and wiping towards its center. Rinse with clean water.
Specific Stains:
- Oil, vinegar, or lemon stains: Remove immediately to prevent discoloration on the flooring surface.
- Ink, tomato, or blood stains: Use diluted alcohol to clean the stains. Apply the alcohol directly to the stain, let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe with clean water.
- Pen and marker stains: Clean with white spirit on a cloth, wiping the stain gently.
- Rust stains: Use an anti-rust sponge and rinse with clean water.
Tips:
- Avoid using steam cleaners, buffers, and polishers on laminate flooring as they can cause damage.
- Clean up liquid spills immediately using a dry cloth or sponge to prevent moisture damage.
- Place protective pads under heavy furniture and chair/table legs to prevent scratches.
- Take caution with furniture that has rubber pads as prolonged placement can cause staining.
- Use doormats at entrances to minimize dirt and dust entering the space.
- Clean the floors with natural, soft, or neutral detergents, ensuring the cleaning cloth is not overly wet.
- Keep flammable or heated items away from the floor, such as heaters or charcoal.
- If using underfloor heating, ensure the surface temperature does not exceed 27°C to avoid damage.
- Do not clean laminate floors with abrasive powders, black soap, acetone, solvents, wax or varnish, oil-based products, or steam cleaners.
